The Department of External Relations and Cooperation Brings Together Monaco’s Honorary Consuls on the Occasion of the National Day

As part of the National Day celebrations, the traditional consular meeting provided an opportunity to gather, alongside the Monegasque Diplomatic Corps, Monaco’s Honorary Consuls to give them an overview of current issues in the Principality.
Held on Thursday, November 20, the meeting was opened by the Government Councilor–Minister of External Relations and Cooperation and concluded by the Minister of State.
During her speech, Isabelle Berro-Amadeï outlined the priorities of the Principality’s foreign policy, notably highlighting Monaco’s presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe from May to November 2026.
H.E. Mr. Christophe Mirmand, addressing Monaco’s Consuls for the first time, expressed the Princely Government’s gratitude for their efforts, emphasizing their essential role in promoting and enhancing the Principality’s international standing.
During the 2025 session, Pierre-André Chiappori, Government Councilor–Minister of Finance and Economy, provided an overview of the Principality’s economic situation, while Samuel Vuelta Simon, Secretary of State for Justice, presented the measures taken by the Monegasque State to combat money laundering and the financing of terrorism.
The Consuls also attended presentations by Ludmilla Raconnat Le Goff, Delegate for Attractiveness to the Minister of State, and Guillaume Rose, Director General of the Monaco Economic Board.
Finally, Bénédicte Schutz, Director of International Cooperation, presented the strategic priorities of Monegasque cooperation, focusing on the most vulnerable populations and giving priority to local initiatives developing in target countries.
Friendly exchanges between the Consuls and institutional representatives concluded this annual meeting.
It should be noted that the Principality currently has 135 active Consulates in 88 countries worldwide.
