In addition to its Embassy in Madrid, the Principality of Monaco has a network of honorary consuls in Spain, which is defined and amended by sovereign ordinance of 8 October 2004: " Under the authority of the Ambassador of the Principality in Madrid, seven consular districts are established in Spain: Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Valencia".
